Kimberly

Kimberly has that rare combination of brains, beauty and ambition. She has numerous accomplishments to her credits, starting with her BS in nursing from Georgetown University. After working in the health care industry for a number of years she decided she needed more. She now has a very successful business designing jewelry.

Kimberly is also a very talented athlete. As of right now she has competed in over 100 triathlons including 1 national level race. She’s not done yet, she is currently training for another race in October. If that’s not enough she also has 7 figure competitions under her belt, and at age 47 she just returned from Las Vegas where she competed in the USA National Figure competition.

I asked Kimberly if she had any advice for anyone thinking about doing a triathlon? Yes. Try to train on the actual course of the race, that way you can find all the little niches and obstacles that might be in your path.

She prefers triathlons over figure competitions because figure shows are subjective, the winner is based on someone’s opinion, but triathlons who ever crosses the finish line first wins. Kimberly says she enjoys doing relays with her husband and 13 year son. She hopes to do another one soon.

You would think being such a serious athlete she eats cleanly all the time. Well guess what every now and then she treats herself to a piece of chocolate and a glass of red wine. She doesn’t do it to often, just enough to take care of the cravings.

Legs and gluts are her favorite body parts to train. As her trainer I know she also enjoys working her core, but working her abs is something she never does. Kimberly says “Getting lean abs requires eating right and doing lots of cardio.”.

I enjoy working with Kimberly, she always seem to be laughing. In fact her favorite quote is “laughter is the best medicine”. In her case it appears to be true. No matter how hard she trains she is always smiling and laughing.

There are a lot of things to like about Kimberly, but my favorite thing about her is her attitude. She is always positive and finds the bright side of every situation. She is very friendly in fact she is so friendly I often had to stop her from talking to other people in the gym so that we could finish her workout.

I mentioned early that Kimberly designs jewelry if you would like to contact her about her work you can e-mail her at businessstickers@cox.net.

I just want to say thanks to Kimberly for her hard work and good attitude, it made the hours of hard work go by quickly.
